It was more than a decade ago that Wilds first made the progression from standing in Bathurst District Cricket Association games to gaining Sydney grade experience.
He's gone on to umpire men's and women's Big Bash League games, Sheffield Shield clashes and international fixtures as well.
Wilds was one of eight New South Wales umpires appointed to the 11-member national panel for season 2021-22.
NSW state umpiring manager Darren Goodger heralded the news and is excited to see what the new season brings for Wilds and his fellow officials.
"We offer congratulations and best wishes to all CNSW umpires selected on the CA panels and wish them the very best for what will be a busy season of opportunity," he said.
"We are delighted to note that CNSW umpires make up 44 percent of the CA umpire panels and congratulate all match officials on their selection."
