Kangaroo
This weekend
Kangaroo is the debut play from local playwright Miranda Gott, directed by former Bathurst creative Becky Russell. The play is inspired by the contrasting nature of city and country living, where life and death seems so much closer where deceased wildlife is concerned. Winter Festival
Final days
The Bathurst Winter Festival will wrap up this weekend. Tthere will be COVID protocols in place and enforcement of current rules. Highlights of the festival include the ice rink, ferris wheel and carousel, as well as illuminations and light shows, food drink and music aplenty. Until July 11. Angela Malone: Winter Paintings
Exhibition
These works are the result of Orange-based artist and poet Angela Malone being drawn to a friend's orchard to paint. Malone captures the landscape's external reality with her own emotional and inner world, working quickly and often abstracting elements. Bathurst Regional Art Gallery. 10am to 2pm.

Dance
Dance Makers Collective have discovered a secret underworld of Dad dancing. They have created a new show based around their own fathers. We won't see them busting a move on stage, but will hear them in interviews and their musical preferences form the soundtrack to the show. Tuesday, July 27. 7.30pm. $18 to $42.
