The trio, featuring Kane Dennelly [guitar, vocals], John Gwilliam [double bass] and Syd Green [drums], has a new album in the works, and will perform a mix of new and old tunes live at next Friday's Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre [BMEC] gig.
Dennelly said the trio cannot wait to return to Bathurst, a town where they've won over audiences with their energetic stage presence and infectious positivity.
"Bathurst is a killer place to play: we'd never really performed there prior to Inland Sea of Sound last year, and since then, a lot of locals have really embraced our music," he said.
"We've been on the road across NSW for a while now, road-testing songs off the new album, which we hope to release once we can tour more extensively again."
Next Friday's gig, while set to operate under COVID-safe protocol, will not be affected by the lockdown in Greater Sydney and surrounds, as all three members of the band live in regional areas.
Dennelly said the band has stayed invested in music throughout the COVID-19 period through gigs [online and in-person] and creative merchandising.
"We've had our own masks made, as well as special edition 'COVID-19-Twenty' band t-shirts made, and we've been gigging pretty solidly since September," he said.
"Our fans have really helped us through it; they're so loyal and invested in what we do, and we can't thank them enough for their support."
19-Twenty will be supported by heart-wrenching indie folk musician Kay Proudlove and emerging Bathurst talent Jazzy Gold.
Dennelly said the event will have something for all fans of music.
"We always get an act from each town we play at to join us on the bill, and Kay's an incredibly singer-songwriter, and audiences need a break from our stupidity," he chuckled.
"Music really thrives with the energy of a live audience, and we're looking forward to retuning to Bathurst to play for living, breathing humans."
The band's most recent single, 'Kiss You', was released on May 1.
19-Twenty's gig at BMEC will take place on Friday, July 16 from 7pm.
Tickets cost $35 for adults and $30 for concession and are available from www.bmec.com.au or the BMEC box office.
