Not only does Bathurst trainer Gayna Williams have a trio of runners going around in this Saturday's TAB Highway Class 3 Handicap (1,400 metres) but they all have winning claims.
From The Bush, Tags and Zoo Station have all started their respective winter campaigns encouragingly but will make a big step up this weekend at the metropolitan track.
Zoo Station is a Class 2 Highway Handicap winner and will be chasing a fourth straight win, Tags made a winning start to his current preparation while From The Bush has been racing strongly in provincial company.
Favouritism looks to be a battle between Jan Bowen's topweight Casino Kid, Will Freedman's past Highway Handicap winner Birdonawinningpost and Matthew Dale's Cavalier Charles.
However, Williams' trio sit around the next tier of betting, all around the $9 to $11 range.
Zoo Station could start in the single digits for Williams in the classy event, and there's reason to believe he can live up to that billing.
The Animal Kingdom mare scored a bold first-up win several weeks ago when charging down the length of the Rosehill straight with little to no cover on her way to a $35,000 Highway Handicap pay day.
Her two wins to end her previous campaign came in a similar fashion, as she charged from midfield with perfectly timed runs from Kath Bell-Pitomac to run down her rivals at Wellington and Dubbo.
Tags came close to backing up his recent Bathurst success with another victory when he came up just short of charging down Lord Zoulander and Command King on a heavy Hawkesbury track several weeks ago.
Prior to that, the Sidestep gelding had scored himself three straight victories.
From The Bush comes into this race with a third and a second to start his preparation, with a pair of tough Kembla Grange runs..
The marquee event of the day will be the $150,000 listed Winter Stakes.
