SHE doesn't have the speed or the sort of success rate of her famous father, but on Wednesday night Taylors Four still did enough to put a smile on the face of driver Jason Hewitt.

She showed her toughness by working three wide to find the front in the Ladyship Pace (1,730 metres) then hold her pursuers at bay down the home straight at the Bathurst Paceway.
The three-year-old filly clocked the best mile rate of her nine starts thus far - a 1:56.8 - as she notched up the second win of her nine-start career.
Though it's not the same sort of record of her father For A Reason, who won four derbies at the same age and was named the Australian Three Year Old Pacer of the Year, Taylors Four's effort on a wet and cold night was full of merit.
"She had to work fairly hard to find the top and once she did I was fairly confident," Hewitt said.
"She's a nice, tough mare and she'll run even sectionals all day like that."
Even sectionals is exactly what the $11 chance produced once she was able to cross stable-mate Infinity Beach with a lap to travel.
A 29.2 seconds opening split was followed by quarters of 29.0, 29.8 and 29.4. It saw Taylors Four post a half neck win over Infinity Beach ($3.10) to make it a quinella for Georges Plains trainer Bernie Hewitt.
"I wasn't worried about the track to be honest, that's just her style of racing, I was always going to drive her like that not matter how the track was," Jason Hewitt said.
"I definitely had a big look over my shoulder, but everything was as tired as me. She plugged all the way up the straight and she held on nice. It was a really good, tough run.
"She lacks high speed so I probably would have rathered she had a little bit of spell, had a breather there somewhere, but we didn't get that tonight. If she did get that bit of a spell she probably would've won by a bit more."
