POLICE are appealing for witnesses or any CCTV after a number of cars in Kelso had their windows smashed and property was stolen overnight Friday.

Inspector Gerard Powell from Chifley Police said police received four reports of cars being broken into on Jagoe Drive early Friday morning and continued to receive similar reports from nearby streets during the morning.

Inspector Powell said forensic officers had been sent to a number of addresses as police continue their investigations.
He urged anyone who may have seen something or have CCTV to contact police.
He also reminded people not to leave any valuables in their cars, reminding the community these were often crimes of opportunity.

"Please don't make it easy for these people to steal from you," he said.
