A HOLE-IN-ONE is something that many golfers will not have the chance to experience in their lifetime, so when Richard Lesh got one back in March at the Bathurst Golf Club he joined a much-coveted position on that list.

But little did he know that he'd only have to wait another five months to achieve the rare feat once again.
That's right, Lesh has put himself in rare company after landing his second hole-in-one of 2021 during a recent round at the Bathurst club.
Lesh hit his first ace on the 16th hole on March 5 before only needing to wait 131 more days to sink another one on the 13th hole on July 15.
"I think I'm very lucky and it probably gives hope to over 65-year-olds that they can still do it," he said.
"That was my first hole-in-one back in March. I'd only started playing at the Bathurst Golf Club in 2013."
Lesh's aces came about in different fashion.
His initial hole-in-one never looked like missing, while his latest effort had a dramatic spin-back before finding its way into the cup.
"That first one came on the 16th and it was about 184 metres, so I used a 3-4 recovery and it just went straight down there into the hole," Lesh said.

"It was a real shock to walk down there and see that it had gone in because it was a bit too far away for my eyes.
"The one on Thursday was on a hole with the pin over a bunker. When it landed, about two feet past the hole, it spun back into it.
"That was with a six iron, and probably only 140 metres."
That leaves holes five and eight as the remaining Bathurst Golf Club par three holes for Lesh to try and conquer.
So, does he like his chances?
Lesh's reply to that was a simple: "No".
