CITYFIT is adjusting and fine-tuning its programs to account for the fact its members are in masks.
Business owner Mark Simons is also reminding members that the masks are only a temporary measure.
Under the current COVID regulations, everyone must wear a mask inside all non-residential locations - and that includes gyms.
This is the first time that wearing masks has been mandatory in Bathurst.

"As trainers and coaches we do try to encourage the members who are feeling uncomfortable in the masks that things will get better," Mr Simons said.
"This is only a short-term thing and there are some minor physical benefits of training in a slightly oxygen-depleted state as well.
"We've always got to look on the positive side."
Having said that, Mr Simons is well aware of the difficulty that wearing a mask adds to a workout for people and the classes at Cityfit have been amended to accommodate for that.
"We have taken the top end off some of those real high-intensity tracks, or real high-intensity workouts, and given people more time to recover between those short bursts of intensity," he said.
"We're mindful that people are struggling to breathe through the masks, but we have to keep them on and we're adjusting and fine-tuning the programs as we go to make sure that people are comfortable being uncomfortable in the mask."
Despite COVID, Cityfit is still welcoming new members to the gym which Mr Simons said is "super positive" for the business.
He urged people to "remain positive, stay vigilant and look after yourselves".
