The group meets at the Bathurst RSL on Fridays and Saturdays to create beautiful items for mothers and their babies, including baby wraps and knitted items.
Group representative Annette McNabb delivered a boot-load of items to the Ronald McDonald House in Orange last Friday and house manager Bronwyn Cooper said she was delighted by the surprise.
Ms Cooper said the donations will be greatly appreciated by new mothers and parents of babies from other areas who are in the special care nursery at Orange Hospital.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
"A really important part of the support we provide here at Ronald McDonald House in Orange is for newborn babies, their mothers and other family members," she said.
"As many of the smaller towns in the central and far west refer high risk pregnancy women to Orange for specialist care in the lead-up to their delivery, they can often find themselves and their families staying with us for several weeks."
Mrs McNabb said the items donated to the house are all hand-made by members.
"We are all just so pleased they will go some way to helping out families," she said.
Ms Cooper said the Orange house is experiencing unprecedented demand for accommodation for parents of newborns.
"We really appreciated this great donation from the Bathurst ladies as we like to present each new mum with a gift bag of baby items which can include blankets, wraps and knitted baby clothing," she said.
