Facilitated by Bathurst Regional Council, the scheme sees Bathurst RSL Club and Panthers Bathurst pair their respective funding pools together to donate to worthy recipients in the local community.
Bathurst RSL CLub president Ian Miller said 90 per cent of organisations who applied for ClubGRANTS funding in 2021 were successful in securing a grant.
"All organisations apply through council and, together with Panthers, we assess each application on the basis of its potential impact on the local community," Mr Miller said.
"Each successful recipient will use the funding for a specific purpose, and have been considered with Bathurst's diverse populous in mind."
Successful applicants include Lifeline Central West [to train crisis support workers], Miracle Babies Foundation [supporting families with sick infants] and The Shepherd Centre [aiding an online arts and music program for hearing impaired children].
Other benefactors include Bathurst Seymour Centre, Western Region Academy of Sport, the Defence Community Dogs program, Veritas House, New Horizons, Bathurst Community Transport, Hope Care Bathurst and Boys to the Bush.
Panthers representative Norm Mann said the ClubGRANTS committee take great pleasure in assisting local organisations each year.
"The committee shares a positive working relationship, and it's always rewarding to see how each successful applicant intends to use our funding," Mr Mann said.
"We regularly deliver these grants at the Bathurst Council Chambers but moving ahead, Ian and I have agreed the share the annual presentation event between Panthers and the RSL to better reflect the venues behind the funding."
Bathurst mayor Ian North said the community work of local clubs behind the scenes cannot go without acknowledgement.
"These grants are just one aspect of the positive sociocultural contributions our clubs deliver to our region," Cr North said.
