In November, the Bathurst Combined Pensioners and Superannuants Association (CPSA) will continue its tradition of hosting a candidates forum.
The event was originally scheduled for mid-August but the date was changed following the news that the election had been pushed back three months to December 4.
CPSA president John Hollis said a formal invitation would be extended to Bathurst's council election candidates at the ballot draw.

"We're going to publicise it by handing out invites at the ballot at the electoral office," he said.
"We plan to have one speaker from each group and if there are independents, like Alex Christian, we'll let them talk as well.
"They'll have three to four minutes to talk and can introduce their team."
Candidates will be asked questions about issues in Bathurst including about how they would preserve and protect heritage, what they would do now and their vision for the future of the city.
Although the event is being hosted by the CPSA, any members of the public are welcome to attend.
Mr Hollis said it would be a chance to get to know the candidates before they go to the polls to cast their votes.
"I think it's important for the community to see who the future candidates will be. I do think the community is starting to take more notice of what is going on in the city," he said.
"... The public is more and more aware of the things the council does and needs to keep their fingers on the pulse."
The candidates' forum will be held at 10am on Thursday, November 18 at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment. Information on how candidates can register to appear at the forum will be detailed on the invitations.
The election ballot draw will be held at 10am on Thursday, November 4 and pre-poll voting will begin on Monday, November 22.
