Gold released her debut single, 'Bad Person', in May, and is set to follow it with a second release, 'Train Wreck', on August 20.
As a multi-instrumentalist who champions guitar, percussion, electronic sounds and looping technology to colour her songs, Gold said the main aim as a songwriter is to produce relatable messages for her audiences.
"I wrote 'Train Wreck' at a time where everything seemed to be going wrong without a clear way out, which I'm sure is a state of mind everyone can relate to from time to time," she said.
"I'm sure everyone has experienced their own 'train wreck' at some point in their life, and all my songs are intended to be relatable to everyone one way or another."
When recording in the studio, Gold said she likes to experiment as much as possible to develop a distinctive sound.
"It's always a complex and risky process finding your own sound, but life is all about taking risks and trying new things to challenge audiences," she said.
"Live performances are also a big help, and I learn something about myself every time I take the stage; the stage is where your real talent as a musician shines."
Gold's 'Bad Person' has received airplay on Triple J, and she has a wealth of material in the works for future release.
