All up, the school managed to raise $34,434 thanks to the generosity and support of students, as well as businesses and groups within the community.
The total figure raised far exceeds the $23,500 it managed to raise last year, with 2021 the fourth consecutive year Bathurst High has held its Wear it Read fundraiser.

Bathurst High principal Ken Barwick said he was extremely grateful for everyone that supported the fundraiser.
"We thought we'd struggle to beat what we raised last year but we went over and beyond this year," he said.
"More and more schools and community groups are getting involved because they're seeing the great work Ronald McDonald House is doing.
"It's pleasing that our school, led by its leaders, have got behind this because we've had students affected and needed the services of Ronald McDonald House in the past.
"We had different businesses taking on each other and Bathurst Regional Council got involved for the first time this year and we want to see them get involved and paint the entire town red next year."
School captains Charlie Hutchings and Zoe Peters both thanked the community for their support.
"It's a great initiative and it's great to see students and the whole town get involved," Mr Hutchings said.
Ronald McDonald House executive officer Rebecca Walsh was thrilled with the donation.
"It's absolutely fabulous and the $34,000 far exceeded our expectations, from the original $4000 raised back in the first year," she said.
"It's an amazing result and it wouldn't be possible without Mr Barwick and the team at Bathurst High."
Money raised will help cover the cost of families staying at Ronald McDonald House when children are getting treatment in Orange.
