On Tuesday evening, the Department of Education confirmed it had been contacted by NSW Health about the positive COVID case.
The school will be closed on Wednesday as a precaution.
Meanwhile, students and staff at Macquarie Anglican Grammar School have been told to stay at home after a student was identified as a close COVID-19 contact.

Students and teachers were informed on Tuesday evening that the school was going to be locked down.
All staff, students and households were asked to isolate at home and boarders were asked to isolate on site at Vista Lodge.
Anyone in Dubbo with symptoms of COVID is urged to get tested.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include:
- fever
- dry cough
- tiredness
- aches and pains
- sore throat
- diarrhoea
- conjunctivitis
- headache
- loss of taste or smell
- a rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes
- difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
- chest pain or pressure
- loss of speech or movement
Drive-through COVID-19 testing is currently available at the Dubbo Showground between 8am and 4pm or walk-in tests can be done at Manera Plaza from 8am until 4.30pm.
