For most local hospitality businesses it's deja vu but for the newly opened 1880 Hotel this is not what owners were hoping for.
With a fully booked bistro for dinner on Saturday, co-owner Nicci Muller was only made aware of the lockdown two hours before it came into effect.
"We're overwhelmed with the response to takeaways last night," she said.

"I think the only disappointment we had was we got no official notice and not much notice, it's the same for everyone.
"We were just calming down after the lunch rush, obviously none of us had been on any form of social media to see that that's what was happening.
"To this point we still have nothing from anyone official to tell us what we can and can't do."
But Ms Muller said they were grateful for the support they have received with many locals ordering takeaway meals.
Meanwhile, businesses including Nikki's Café on William and Crema on George have been able to quickly adapt to the new regulations after experiencing them last year.
"What we're implementing now is what is suggested by the state government and it's basically similar to what it was last year," Nikki's owner Pino Calabro said.
"There aren't any real changes really when it comes to hospitality ... let's hope that by next week it's lifted and everything's back to normal.
"We've already done a few takeaways this morning and we hope that continues."
Last year, Crema On George was quite busy through the strict COVID period and owner Tricia White is hoping this is the case again after experiencing a quieter than normal Sunday.
"Last lockdown we were really busy, this one I don't know," she said.
NSW will remain in lockdown until at least 12.01 am Sunday, August 22.
