WHILE Bathurst 1000 fans will have to wait until to November for this year's edition of the 161-lap epic, there will be another Supercars endurance battle on the slopes of Mount Panorama before that to whet the appetite.

It will be a virtual battle as the Supercars Eseries makes a return in 2021.
First run last year as a way to keep drivers and fans engaged during COVID-19 lockdown, Supercars has decided to stage another series given racing has again been halted by the pandemic.
Bathurst's famous 6.213 kilometre circuit will stage the penultimate event of the six-round Eseries.
The Bathurst round on September 22 will see Supercars drivers and pro gamers pair up for a virtual endurance race and that's not the only change from the 2020 series.
In a new hybrid format for the competition this year, two championships will run within the series.
The All Stars will consist of main game Supercars and Dunlop Super2 drivers, with a Pro Series to feature elite gamers representing Supercars teams. As was the case last year, wildcard entries will be included.
Supercars Championship drivers and Dunlop Super2 Series drivers will race at five famous oval circuits - the Red Bull Ring in Austria, IndyCar circuits Long Beach and Road America, Mount Panorama and a season-ending race at Phillip Island.
After securing two second-placed finishes and a top 10 as a wildcard in last year's Eseries, Erebus Motorsport's Brodie Kostecki will be one to watch in the All Stars races.
"The competition level is definitely a lot higher with the pro gamers versus the Supercar drivers but I think the competition amongst the Supercar drivers will be harder this year," Kostecki said.
"I hope I can maintain my All Stars results from last time around, obviously last year I wasn't full time so it'll be great to be racing consistently."
The Eseries will take place on the iRacing platform, running weekly from August 25 until September 29.
