Having sold bunches of daffodils for the last three years, Ms Pringle wasn't going to let a few obstacles stop her from raising much-needed funds.
The money raised by Vanessa Pringle Floral Designs will be donated to the Bathurst Daffodil Wig Library, keeping the funds within the region to help locals.
IN OTHER NEWS AROUND BATHURST:
"They do the Look Good, Feel Good program, so they have ladies not only with cancer but also alopecia they provide wigs for," Ms Pringle said.
"They now develop a heap of lovely lotions and skin care products for people's scalps, so the money we raise goes to that side of it."
The local florist was able to raise $5000 for the Wig Library last year.
With the current lockdown, though, Ms Pringle is just hoping to sell as many bunches of daffodils as possible.
The bunches are $10 each, half of which is donated and the remainder put towards covering costs.
Pre-ordering is preferred, however, there are about 280 bunches still available and the florist will be offering a drive through-like service.
"We just have to change the way we operate to do it safely, but I didn't want to pull the pin because that means they don't get any funding," Ms Pringle said.
"So people will stop out the front, remain in their cars, tell us how many bunches they want and we'll bring them the EFTPOS machine, give them their flowers and off they go."
Ms Pringle said most people have been touched by cancer in some way and encourages Bathurst to get behind the cause and help raise some much-needed money.
