For the second time in two weeks Perfect Cut ($1.12) was sent out at ultra-short odds at the Bathurst track, looking on paper like a class above the rest of the 55 grade field.
The Lincoln Royal three-year-old didn't disappoint as he strolled across the finish line looking like a picture of poise.
Perfect Cut eased up on the line to score by 10 metres ahead of a furious three-way fight for second, won by Mach Daddy ($19, Mitch Turnbull) over Im Jimmy James ($34, Stephanie Burley) and Eagle Commander ($19, Nathan Hurst).
After a mixed career in New Zealand the low entry level in the Australian rating system could see Perfect Cut rapidly shoot through his grades if he continues his current run of form.
There were very few tests for Perfect Cut throughout Wednesday's race.
Turnbull was in no rush to get Perfect Cut flying out of the gates and Itsallaboutned crossed over to lead on the first turn.
However, Isobel Ross on Itsallaboutned wasn't ever going to try and prevent Turnbull from launching into the lead she gave Perfect Cut the nudge he needed to take up the running before the bell.
Mach Brilliance was caught deep with no cover on the outside line and had to slowly for forward along the inside runners to eventually land outside of Perfect Cut.
Mach Daddy followed her forward and got an ideal trail into the race.
A slight lift in tempo was enough for Perfect Cut to start stretching the field out at the 600m, and horses at that point were already struggling to stay in touch with the front bunch.
Mitch Turnbull had to go wide on Mach Daddy when Mach Brilliance wasn't able to keep pace with Perfect Cut.
Itsallaboutned couldn't go with the leader either and it left Perfect Cut to cruise to another comfortable win.
The mile rate was 1:56.8, nearly matching the 1:56.4 time he set just a fortnight earlier in similar conditions.
Amanda Turnbull would finish the night with three winners.
Turnbull drove her own horse, Lyrical Genius ($2.30 favourite), to a dominant win in the Bathurst RSL Club Pace (1,730m) and then drove father Steve's two-year-old runner Allstarzzz Frankie ($1.10 favourite) to a win in the Bourkes Horse Rugs Pace (1,730m).
Wednesday's meeting was one for the favourites, with six of them saluting across the eight program, and the two other winners (Tom The Curious and So Am I) also came at short prices.
Meanwhile, the Queensland campaign for Chris Frisby and Gemma Hewitt's runners continue this Saturday night at Albion Park.
Frisby's Our Uncle Sam is chasing back-to-back victories after getting the nod in a photo finish last weekend.
Hewitt's Keayang Kreuzer and Rock Fisherman will both be looking to get themselves back into the winner's circle after coming close in their recent starts.
