OTHER BUSINESS STORIES:
Mr Semmens said he is grateful to be a finalist and is looking forward to seeing how he goes.
"It's a real highlight in what's been a very tough 18-odd months," he said.
"I've been nominated a few times in other awards, for example the Carillon Business Awards - we've been finalists in those and we've won once, actually, which was for professional services back in 2019.
"I've never been in this one before, so we'll see how we go."
Local florist Vanessa Pringle has also been nominated in a few categories, with both businesses up for the Outstanding Business Leader award.
Mr Semmens is looking forward to the local rivalry and will be very happy for Ms Pringle if she wins.
"It's really good to be up against somebody of her calibre," he said.
The Persuader is a local business that coaches other businesses, helping them to be as successful as possible and reach their full potential.
Mr Semmens said he would be "over the moon" to win a Western NSW Business Award and is extremely grateful to his clients for supporting him in supporting them.
