The Western NSW Local Health District-Australian Defence Force walk-in vaccination clinic at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre kicked off Monday morning and had reached its capacity not long after opening.
It was the same story over at Orange, where the walk-in clinic at the new DPI building in Prince Street reached capacity before 10am.
Rockley resident Roslyn Webster was one of the first people in the queue for the Bathurst clinic and was the first to get the AstraZeneca jab.
The Australian Defence Force has come to Bathurst and Orange after lending its manpower to walk-in clinics in various western locations.
The Bathurst clinic will run Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 4.30pm each day.
Second dose clinics will be scheduled to follow.
