She said she has continued to be impressed by the ideas businesses are coming up with and that the community is still supporting them even when they can't go in store.
"I'm just so happy to see so many businesses just step up and do what they have been doing," she said.
"I follow Facebook a fair bit ... and I've noticed that most of the hotels, or a majority of the hotels, are offering takeaway. You can order it over the phone or online, pick it up at a certain point, like click and collect that you can do with your supermarket, and I think it's just been simply wonderful and the people of Bathurst have really embraced it."

But it's not only food retailers finding ways to keep trading.
Cr Rudge noted the way a range of businesses conducted themselves in the lead up to Father's Day on Sunday.
"A lot of the places, particularly on Father's Day, have said that they're booked out or have to close orders down because they've received so many," she said.
"You've got bakeries that have been sending boxes of treats and pies and sausages rolls out to people. It's just been a whole variety of businesses offering various things online and on Facebook.
"Bake, Table and Tea in George Street, they were putting things together for Father's Day. There's a business called Food We Do over in South Bathurst, they put together boxes for Father's Day because you can get takeaway from there. Country Fruit offered hampers for Father's Day.
"... What really struck me was the range of imaginative ideas that they'd come up with, which I think was just absolutely fantastic."
She encouraged people to continue supporting local businesses through the tough times, and thanked those who have already been buying local.
"Good on you. It's just so good to see the community sticking together and supporting each other, particularly in this time of lockdown. I just think it's a good news story and I am very, very pleased," Cr Rudge said.
"Congratulations to those businesses that have been able to do it, I know not all businesses can, but congratulations and hats off to those businesses that have actually done it."
For those unaware of which businesses are operating, Cr Rudge said there are a lot of resources online that point to the things businesses are doing during lockdown.
