The city had two new cases of COVID in the 24 hours to 8pm on Wednesday, both of which, according to state member Paul Toole, were infectious in the community.
It followed Chifley Police making an announcement on Wednesday night about two venues of concern for Tuesday.
Bathurst's two new cases followed three new cases being announced the day before, all three of which were household contacts.
Deputy Premier John Barilaro said, at the NSW Government's 11am update, that it was a bittersweet day as some communities were told they would open up and others would not, but emphasised that a number of restrictions would still be placed on communities coming out of lockdown.
The NSW Government's 11am update said there were 24 new cases in the Western NSW Local Health District to 8pm on Wednesday, 15 of which were in Dubbo.
Orange had one new case.
Mr Toole said there were 255 daily tests for Bathurst yesterday, which was down again on the 391 daily tests for Bathurst on Tuesday.
The state added 1405 new COVID cases in the 24 hours to 8pm Wednesday and now has 202 cases in intensive care.
There were five deaths in the 24-hour reporting period, all of which were in Sydney.
A Western NSW Local Health District-Australian Defence Force walk-in vaccination clinic, which opened at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre on Monday morning and had reached capacity for its first day within its first hour, continues for the rest of the week and on Saturday.
