BATHURST had more COVID cases than Dubbo in the latest 24-hour reporting period as the outbreak eased significantly in the western part of the health district.

Bathurst had five new cases to 8pm on Sunday and Dubbo had four out of the 12 new cases for the Western NSW Local Health District.
Bourke had two and Walgett one.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole reported that two of the five new cases for Bathurst were infectious in the community.
The new cases for Bathurst followed Bathurst Regional Council announcing on Sunday afternoon that one of its staff members had tested positive for COVID and supermarkets at Trinity Heights and Windradyne being announced as new venues of concern.
It also came as a new walk-in vaccination clinic opened at Kelso.
Mr Toole said Bathurst had 293 daily tests on Sunday.
Across the state, NSW had 1257 new COVID cases and seven deaths, one of whom was a man in his 90s at Dubbo.
