The residential-style accommodation will be for clients living with high physical needs and who require constant professional care.

Nick Packham, CEO of Vivability, which provides services to people with a disability in the region, said they are seeing an increase in demand of young people living with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's and Huntington's disease.

Unfortunately, these clients are no longer able to live at home, so Vivability decided to build a facility that would resemble a homely environment while also meeting their needs.

"We're seeing demands from clients with intellectual disability as well as those with physical disability," he said.

"We're seeing demand around people that have got degenerative neurological disease ... people get to the point where they can no longer be cared for at home because of their physical needs.

"This property will provide an option for a different style of accommodation for them where they can actually have their needs met in a small model, residential home."

With ceiling tracks for lifting equipment and sensory features, the house will be staffed 24 hours a day.

The state-of-the-art facility is registered with the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) and is the first of a few houses that Vivability plans to build in Bathurst.

The house under construction has four clients waiting for it to be completed so they can move in.

Mr Packham said they are planning to build another residential care home which will be a bit bigger.
