A BUTCHER'S shop in the Armada Bathurst centre and a CBD supermarket have both assured customers they are doing everything they need to do after becoming new COVID venues of concern for Bathurst.

Anyone who was at Martin Timm's Farmgate Fresh Cut Meats between 3.15pm and 3.25pm last Tuesday, September 7, 2021 is considered a casual contact and must get tested and self-isolate until they receive a negative result.
The business put out a message on its Facebook page saying that "even though our business has been listed as an exposure site for COVID-19, all our staff have tested negative and we are still open for business".
"The centre undertakes deep cleaning every night to ensure the safety of all its customers," the message said.
"Stay safe during this hard time."
Meanwhile, Member for Bathurst Paul Toole published a statement from Bernardi's Marketplace Bathurst on Monday night about a COVID-positive customer.
The customer was at the store last Wednesday, September 8 between 3.45pm and 4.10pm.
"Following the NSW Health guidelines, Bernardi's Marketplace Bathurst have taken the below measures and actions and asks the public to follow the health advice of the NSW Government," the statement said.
"Please note the following;
- All staff members that have been in direct contact with this customer are considered a close contact and have been asked to get a COVID-19 test immediately and self-quarantine for 14 days. These quarantine rules also apply to anyone who shares the household.
- All staff members who were on the shop floor during this time are considered a casual contact and are required to get a test immediately and isolate until they get a negative result.
- Anyone who visited or shopped at Bernardi's Marketplace Bathurst on Wednesday, September 8 between 3.45pm and 4.10pm are considered a casual contact and must get a test immediately and isolate until they get a negative result.
- Bernardi's Marketplace Bathurst will be doing a deep clean of the store tonight [Monday night] but have already cleaned the store several times since the positive case has shopped.
- We encourage all members of the public to get tested immediately if you have any COVID-19 symptoms."
Bathurst had five new cases of COVID to 8pm on Sunday, two of whom were infectious in the community.
A number of Bathurst Regional Council staff are waiting for COVID test results after council announced on Sunday that one of its staff members had tested positive for the virus.
