Western NSW Local Health District had 14 new cases to 8pm on Monday, according to NSW Health, which was only slightly up on the 12 new cases in the 24-hour period before and was well down on numbers being seen last week.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole reported that Bathurst had 562 daily tests on Monday.
The update on Bathurst cases followed a CBD supermarket and shopping centre butcher shop being listed as venues of concern.
Both reassured customers that they had done everything they should do, including cleaning and getting staff tested, after receiving the news.
Across NSW, the state had 1127 new COVID cases to 8pm on Monday and there are now 231 cases in intensive care and 104 requiring ventilators.
There were two deaths, both of them in western Sydney.
A new walk-in vaccination clinic which has opened at Kelso is continuing this week.
