Deli Europa Bathurst, which launched earlier in the year, has been hard at work behind the scenes preparing a series of spring antipasti boxes and vegetable boxes for customers throughout September, with deliveries to take place on Friday to Sunday.
"As a package, both boxes cost around $60 [with free delivery in Bathurst], and include assorted cured meats, fruit, vegetables, cheese and homemade dips," Deli Europa owner Libby Daniewska said.
"Now that it's springtime and the weather's warming up, people are looking to sit around at home and enjoy an attractive platter of 'nibblies'."
As more members of the community get fully vaccinated and be able to host five-person picnics [which has been legal for fully vaccinated people since Monday], Ms Daniewska said she's looking to arrange picnic packages from October.
"These packages will include vegan options as well as non-vegan, and it'll be a great benefit to people as they start to get their freedom back once fully vaccinated," she said.
"I've also found a lot of people have purchased boxes as gifts for people in lockdown, or still have to work, so there's a feel-good aspect to our offerings."
Ms Daniewska started Deli Europa Bathurst over a love of food and a gap in the market regarding European-style produce.
