The mother of two has been working in childcare for 15 years, spending the past six years looking after children in Bathurst.
Ms Anderson runs a small day care facility from home as part of the Bathurst Family Day Care Scheme and has just received a regional educator award in the Family Day Care Australia Excellence in Family Day Care Awards.

"I've never won anything like this before ... I was actually really shocked," she said.
"I was really appreciative. It makes you feel really special that all the work I've done for the last 15 years sort of pays off in some respect."
Ms Anderson has worked both from home and in day care centres and believes that from home she can give the children a little bit more time and devotion.
"The whole reason why I did it was I had certain beliefs I wanted to see put into kids and I think it's paid off because so many parents love the way I work," Ms Anderson said.
"It's an amazing job, honestly. I have four kids right now and every one of them can just walk into my house whenever they want ... they're part of the family."
Ms Anderson thanked her parents for nominating her and the council staff at Bathurst Family Day Care Scheme for all the help they provide the educators.
There were 24 winners in NSW and ACT who secured a regional award.
All winners will now go in the running to be named as the ACT/NSW National Educator Finalist.
