CHIFLEY Police District is investigating a fire that totally destroyed the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at Raglan in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Inspector Paul McCann said police were alerted to the fire at the Great Western Highway site at about 3am.
"The building has been totally destroyed by fire. The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage. We have established a crime scene and Bathurst detectives from Chifley Command have commenced investigations," he said.
A forensic crime scene investigation will be conducted on Saturday with the assistance of NSW Fire and Rescue.

Although the exact cause of the fire is unknown, Inspector McCann said it was suspicious.
"It is suspicious. It appears to be deliberately lit at this stage," he said.
Police are appealing for anyone with any information about the fire to get in touch with police.
"I know it's hard at that time of the morning, but if anyone did see anyone around that area from around 1am onwards, they can call Bathurst Police or Crime Stoppers," Inspector McCann said.
