Because of the continuing stay at home orders, the ceremonies were run online, a first for our council.
The ceremonies were held via a series of individual and group ceremonies over three days.
Our newest citizens hail from Nepal, the Philippines, New Zealand, Iran, Thailand, Ireland, Zimbabwe, India, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, Canada, Pakistan and South Africa.
In a special touch, many of the conferees had decorated their homes to celebrate the event.
The ceremonies coincided with Australia Citizenship Day, which was Friday, September 17.
COVID vaccination
THANK you to the community for your response to calls to have your COVID vaccination.
According to the latest statistics released by the Australian Government's Operation COVID Shield, from September 20, 82.9 per cent of the Bathurst local government area population aged over 15 have received their first done; and 46pc have had their second dose.
It's also important to continue to get tested if you have even the mildest of cold and flu-like symptoms.
Testing continues to be available at the Mount Panorama drive-through clinic and Bathurst Hospital.
Get Grubby Program for Families
COUNCIL is part of the dirtgirlworld Get Grubby Program for Families.
If you want to get grubby, you can sign up now and take advantage of the activities available these school holidays.
Created for families who have been home-schooling, the Get Grubby Program for Families celebrates nature and teaches young children to do little things at home that make a big difference - from composting and worm farming, recycling and saving energy to growing a vegie patch.
One lucky family that signs up to the Get Grubby Program will win a home work farm and a Zoom workshop with Costa the Garden Gnome.

Sunnybright land ballot
COUNCIL has rescheduled the Sunnybright land ballot to this Friday, September 24.
The ballot, for lots in Sunnybright Estate at Kelso, will be held by livestream at 10am.
Lots up for sale in the ballot range from 706m2 to 1439m2 and are priced from $245,000 to $300,000.
The land ballot was scheduled to be held last week, but had to be rescheduled after the Civic Centre was closed for deep cleaning after a COVID exposure.

Apply for funds to make sure your group is in with a sporting chance
THE NSW Government has announced the opening of round two of the Regional Sport Facility Fund, which provides grants for new and upgraded sports facilities in regional NSW.
This fund is all about improving sport infrastructure for our sport-loving community.
The health and wellbeing benefits of sport and active recreation can't be underestimated.
We want to improve local sports facilities and enable more people to participate in sport and active recreation.
I really do encourage local organisations to apply for a grant under the fund.
The Regional Sport Facility Fund provides grants of $100,000 up to $1 million for projects such as amenity buildings, lighting, club rooms, change rooms and grandstands.
Another of the fund's aims is to stimulate local economies, boost employment and promote healthy lifestyles.
Investing in new and existing sports facilities is vital for NSW residents.
Inclusive projects that encourage the participation of females and people with disability are a priority of the fund.
The fund is creating sports infrastructure across the state as part of the NSW Government's multi-billion-dollar infrastructure pipeline.
Applications close October 8, 2021 at noon.
