From across the eight races, including the $80,000 Ray White Emms Mooney The Panorama (1300 metres), 170 horses have been nominated, including some 38 for the feature race.
Bathurst Thoroughbred Racing general manager Michelle Tarpenning has been thrilled with the response.
"The whole race meeting has seen a record number of nominations we've ever received and [The Panorama] is the same. This is the record number of nominations we've received for this particular race," she said.

"The response has been very encouraging and very exciting. Sunday's race meeting is looking like it will be a very fantastic day of racing."
Now into its third year, the Panorama is already the richest thoroughbred race in Bathurst and Tarpenning is pleased to see how much it has grown in recent years.
"It's very encouraging for the club that the race is going so well," she said.
"When our race dates were moved from earlier in the year, we wanted to incorporate this into the spring carnival, in the lead up to the Kosciuszko.
"That momentum we've been building up over the years is obviously showing right now.
"Hopefully we'll have a few local trainers in the mix when the fields are all set and done, when the acceptances are in. It would be more exciting for our local contingent. Dean Mirfin has quite a few nominated."
Unfortunately for racing fans, crowds are not permitted for Sunday's meeting in accordance with the NSW Government's COVID-19 regulations and Racing NSW's requirements.
While fans can't attend the race, Tarpenning is hoping that the meeting will be well supported online.
"We do hope people place their bets and actually watch on their phone or tablet. We're hoping to have a good following online," she said.
"It's a little disappointing [we can't have crowds] but it is what it is and you can't be disappointed with the nominations we've received.
"The track is looking fantastic. We're at a soft five at the moment and the cover is just brilliant.
"This is probably the best the track has ever looked. A big shout-out to my track manager Rob Nolan, who has been working very tirelessly on the preparation for this race meeting."
The meeting will also featured the $40,000 Ray White Emms Mooney Bathurst Cup (1800 metres), the opening race of the meeting.
Nominations are expected to be finalised on Thursday, for the eight-race meeting.
