POLICE are appealing for public health to find a two-metre statue of St Joseph holding the baby Jesus that has been stolen from a local convent.

Police say the statue was taken from the grounds of the St Joseph's Convent on Tenison Woods Avenue at Perthville some time between 6pm on Friday, September 3 and 10am on Sunday, September 5.
