In the 24 hours to 8pm Thursday, Bathurst recorded zero new cases of COVID-19, down from the one case recorded the previous day.
Across the same period, COVID-19 testing figures rose to 310, up from 189 on the previous day.
While pleased to see an increase in testing rates, WNSWLHD chief executive officer Scott McLachlan said it's still paramount as many Bathurst residents as possible get tested, especially considering the last confirmed case, a worker from out of town, was infectious in the community.
"With every positive case, we do see a surge of concern in the community, but Bathurst residents need to be mindful the same risk persists every day of the week," Mr McLachlan said.
"It doesn't matter whether there's a case in your community or 100 kilometres down the road [Cowra has recorded 14 positive cases in the last two days], please be vigilant and get tested over the weekend whether asymptomatic or not."
Mr McLachlan said a number of people were contacted and venues of concern identified in response to the positive case identified by the WNSWLHD on Thursday.
"This is exactly what we're saying about staying vigilant, assume everyone is infected regardless of the number of active COVID cases in the community," he said.
"I understand the lifting of stay-at-home orders aren't far away and this has been a mentally and physically draining couple of months, but we've still got to be careful even when lockdown ends."
The Australian Defence Force clinic will return to the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre [BMEC] from Monday to administer second doses.
"If people haven't been notified of their second dose appointment yet, message the WNSWLHD Facebook page," Mr McLachlan said.
