The 17-year-old Saint Stanislaus College standout is still in awe of his selection as he made the cut for the national merit side.
And while there's a stack of different reasons for the Orange Emus' junior to be thrilled at his achievement, he's most happy to represent the bush.
"I'm very proud being a country boy," he said.
"Most of these other players are from private schools in Sydney, Brisbane and the ACT... there's not too many from out here."
Players never expect to see their names on lists like this, and Morris was no different.
He joins the likes of Bo Abra, Tom Hooper, Brock McGarity and Rory Suttor on the list of Stannies talents who have been selected in the Australian Schoolboys side.
"I got a message from my mate saying 'You'd better check the team sheet'," he said.
"I really didn't expect to be there."
Morrison has always been an extremely hard working and dedicated player, but he spoke about what parts of his 2021 performance might have earned him the coveted selection.
"I think I carry the ball into contact pretty well," he said.
"I love the physicality of the game, and I love the scrums and line-outs. I'm not the biggest prop out there but I just love running the ball up and down the field."
It's a fitting achievement for Morrison, given his father Bruce was also picked for this squad back in his day.
Not only did Bruce play for the Australian Schoolboys, but he played rugby in the nation's capital as well, something Jack wants to do as well.
"I want to move to the ACT or Sydney and try to get into a rugby academy," he said.
"The old man played in the ACT and I've got some family down there."
For now, Morrison will continue to work for his parent's business while keeping a close eye on Australia's future plans.
"I'd love to be able to play ... maybe against New Zealand," he said.
The ultimate goal would be to play rugby for a living, but if that doesn't pan out, Morrison's got it all sorted.
"I want to get some sort of trade," he said.
"Something like a diesel mechanic where you can get a job anywhere."
"I'm definitely not a uni person... I'm an outdoors person and love working with my hands," he added.
