BATHURST is expected to receive some significant rain in the coming days, if the Bureau of Meteorology's forecast eventuates.

As of Friday afternoon, the bureau was predicting a 95 per cent chance of any rain on Sunday, with as much as 15 millimetres likely to fall in the region.
The rain is expected to start sometime in the afternoon and continue into the evening.

Rain was also predicted for Monday, although the likelihood was lower at 70 per cent.
If it does rain, the BoM was forecasting between zero and 4mm, and noted that there could be a thunderstorm in the morning.
Barely a week into October, Bathurst has already recorded 16.6mm at the agricultural station after some wet days last weekend.
The region will have to record another 42.2mm this month to equal the long-term average for October.
