That's the Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket Association M.O ahead of the 2021-22 campaign as aspiring players who haven't received both COVID-19 vaccinations won't be able to take the field until December 1.

It's part of a Cricket New South Wales crackdown that aims to provide players, coaches and spectators with the safest possible environment.

Central West Cricket boss Mark Frecklington says his competition is set to follow all advice from the powers that be.

"Before December 1, only those who have been fully vaccinated will be allowed to play," he said.

"I don't think it will make too much of an impact to playing numbers. Looking at the vaccination rates in Orange and Bathurst, the first doses are up around the 90 per cent mark.

"The numbers of people who aren't vaccinated will be low. But, if you are planning on getting vaccinated, make it earlier rather than later."

As it stands, the BOIDC calendar is set to officially kick-off on October 30 as five games are slated for opening weekend.

While Orange-based squads have been able to train for some time now, teams from Bathurst will officially be allowed to meet up to train on Monday, giving them 19 days to fine-tune their chemistry before day one.

"Everything's on track and looking good ahead of round one," he said.

The first round will feature a plethora of exciting contests as Cavaliers will host City Colts in one of the more evenly-poised contests of the weekend.

Bathurst City and CYMS will lock horns at Orange, while Centennials Bulls have their work cut out for them with a match against Orange City at George Park.

St Pat's Old Boys will welcome ORC back to the competition, while Centrals will host Rugby Union.
