Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your two-month-old regrowth and ratty ends.
Hair salons all over Bathurst have hit the ground running on day one out of lockdown, with locals eager to have their hair tended to.
Rapunzel's Hair Castle began bright and early on Monday morning to get through as many clients as possible, and owner Michelle Dunn is thrilled to be back.
"We are very excited because it's like all the clients are coming home," she said.
"I'm so fortunate, I've got a really good team and we all work really good together and we've had heaps of bonding over Zoom so it's been great."
Rapunzel's will be operating longer hours to make sure they get through all of their clients as hair salons are restricted to five customers at a time.
Ms Dunn will be in the salon from 7am to 10pm with staff working shifts from either 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 9.30pm.
Due to working extended hours there's only a two to three-week wait for clients looking to book in for a hair appointment, depending on what they're after.
Ms Dunn and the Rapunzel's staff made the most of lockdown by participating in a number of online training sessions to keep them educated.
"Look it was really hard but it enabled us to do a lot of other stuff, growth in the business and stuff like that, that we didn't have time to do," Ms Dunn said.
"We did a lot of online training, we were fortunate enough Wella had a heap of online training which was fantastic."
In compliance with COVID regulations, clients must be fully vaccinated to attend appointments, QR code in and out, and wear masks inside the premises.
