IT takes more than a pandemic to stop Bathurst Meals On Wheels.
The organisation has reported a record year for 2020-21, making and delivering more than 420,000 meals in just 12 months - a jump of five per cent on the previous year.
They included 47,481 meals delivered in Bathurst alone plus another 377,380 meals produced locally for the Central West Food Service.
Bathurst Meals on Wheels manager Linda Roszkiewicz said the extra meals placed an enormous workload on both organisations and staff in trying to keep costs as low as possible while managing deliveries through the pandemic.

"It is very encouraging to be able to provide a service to the vulnerable in society and also keep an eye on their welfare when they are mostly confined to their homes," she said.
Bathurst Meals on Wheels relied on more than 175 volunteers in the kitchen and delivering meals during the year, including 15 truck runs a month across the Central West and Sydney basin.
Meanwhile, Ms Roszkiewicz has announced her retirement after almost 13 years with Bathurst Meals on Wheels, with co-ordinator Sarah Thomas appointed as her replacement.
There have also been changes to the committee of management with Dr Donald Alexander being elected president and two new committee members, David Weekes and Catherine Strods, being voted in.
Patrick Coetsee (secretary), Ben Jenkins (treasurer), Bruce Hickey (vice president) and Jacinta McDonald make up the management committee.Cr Monica Morse has represented council on the committee for the past two years.
