Local theatre instructor Justin Buchta has revived his adult drama workshops from earlier in the year, and for the next nine Tuesdays, he is inviting members of the community to Keystone 1889 for a crash-course in acting and performance.

Mr Buchta, who's teaching resume includes the National Institute of Dramatic Arts [NIDA], The Actors Centre Australia and Drama NSW, said the workshops are "practical, playful and physical", and ideal for people of all abilities.
"These workshops are designed to ensure people can grow confident in their skills as a performer, which has a range of benefits outside the world of theatre," he said.
"Much like sport, theatre also requires people to read and work off each other to achieve a more concise performance, and these workshops are perfect for people wanting to both have some fun, and learn more about how to project themselves to the world."
The workshops involve a wide range of play-building techniques incorporating comedy, drama, combat and slapstick routines, and include the same theatre games and techniques taught at NIDA.

Mr Buchta said the move to Keystone post-lockdown has pleasingly enabled the workshops to take place at a more traditional theatre setting, further adding to the aesthetic.
"I was involved in several performance-based productions and workshops here as a kid growing up in Bathurst, so I'm really hoping to try and reinvigorate the interest again," he said.
"There's a lot of great things in the works for this venue, so it's a pleasure to be a part of it."
Each workshop runs for two and a half hours, and Mr Buchta said the first workshop, held on Tuesday, attracted a committed group of talented actors.
The workshops will run from 6.30pm until 9pm each Tuesday until December 14.
Tickets cost $20 per workshop for adults and $10 per workshop for students.
