A PRISON staff member will face court next month charged over an alleged inappropriate relationship with an inmate at a Central West correctional facility.
Corrective Services NSW said the 47-year-old female staff member had been suspended from duty at Kirkconnell Correction Centre.
A spokesperson said concerns about the relationship between the staff member and a male inmate were first raised this month, with the matter being referred to NSW Police.

Corrective Services Investigation Unit officers issued the woman with a field court attendance notice for the alleged offence of engaging in a relationship with inmate causing a safety risk.
Police will allege the staff member engaged in inappropriate activity with a male inmate over a two-week period.
The Bathurst woman will appear at Lithgow Local Court next month.
