The call went out recently for casual employees to join the inflatable water park.
The job advertisement indicated the park is set to open to the public on November 20 and run through to April, 2022, but noted that these are only approximate dates.
Staff at the park need to be "responsible, confident, well-spoken and well-presented".
"We are looking for team members who are committed to providing excellent customer service and who understand the importance of making every customer experience at the park a positive one," the advertisement said.
Anyone applying to work at the park must have, or be willing to obtain, first aid training, and successful applicants will need to complete their Bronze Medallion, which is considered the minimum standard for a qualified lifesaver.
Owner of the Bathurst Aqua Park, Michael Hickey, told the Western Advocate last month that the intention is to have a similar number of staff as last time the park was open, which was 25 people.
He hoped to bring back a lot of the previous employees.
"A lot of our old staff that worked the very first year have already got in contact and want to work again, which is great," he said.
He expected the park would be a popular destination, given how quickly people flocked to his other facilities when they were able to reopen.
"I think it's going to be more popular than it was the first time, to be honest, because people can't travel and I think people are waiting to get out and do something. That's what we found last year; people couldn't travel and the parks were just flat out," Mr Hickey said.
Councillor Alex Christian can't wait to see the park return to Chifley Dam, saying it will help to boost moral after a tough year.
"It ticks all the boxes: jobs, physical activity, it helps our local economy, and it brings people in from other areas. We are so fortunate to have a facility like this where no one else out here has anything like the Bathurst Aqua Park," he said.
"I think that's something that Bathurst residents should be proud of and I really hope everyone gets behind them and helps them."
