Year 12 students physically returned to face-to-face learning on Monday, where they will look to get stuck into some serious revision before the HSC commences on November 9.
St Stanislaus College Year 12 student Jacob George said the return to school has delivered much-needed motivation and enthusiasm at the right time after a difficult year.
"We have the next two weeks at school, then a week off before the HSC begins, so it'll be handy to refresh ourselves with all the content and use this face-to-face time with teachers to properly prepare," Jacob said.
"It's been pretty tough this year; just as we were approaching the trials, everything went up in the air, and we weren't even sure we'd get to sit the HSC."
Fellow Year 12 student Jack Morrison said the cohort is ready and willing to help each other get ready for the HSC period.
"It's great to be back among mates, teachers and the school's resources; online learning was good for a time, but it doesn't beat face-to-face," Jack said.
Prefect Joshua Borland said while it was a real challenge to stay motivated learning online during lockdown, it brought the year group closer together.
"We've all been in this online learning environment together, which has encouraged us to tailor our own approaches to study," Joshua said.
"Our teachers have also provided us with stacks of online resources."
