But before BMEC gets into the full swing of revealing an expected bumper 2022 season, a number of events in November and December will keep audiences thoroughly entertained for the remainder of the year.
BMEC manager Stephen Champion said the first main event on stage will be Highway of Lost Hearts: a collaboration between Lingua Franca and BMEC Local Stages.
"Written by Mary Anne Buttler, Highway of Lost Hearts is a one-woman play about self-discovery and sorting life out, and will star popular local theatre identity Dr Kate Smith," Mr Champion said.
"There's also a local music element to the production, with original compositions written and performed by Smith & Jones."
Highway of Lost Hearts is scheduled for November 19 [11am and 8pm] and 20 [2pm and 8pm].
Mr Champion said the venue is also set to host Dads on December 1, an interpretive performance from the Penrith-based Dance Makers Collective.
"The collective features some of the state's finest dancers, and they've devised routines based on the way dads dance," he said.
"It is sure to be a production enriched by comedic tropes, and will involve a couple of local dads and their children."
The Australian Hadyn Ensemble [featuring Bathurst's Carla Blackwood] is also due to return on December 14, and will be followed by Now We're Swingin', a swing music spectacle from renowned Australian screen and stage star Tom Burlinson, on December 19.
Mr Champion said he expects 2022 to be a spectacular year for the venue, with a host of exciting shows set to take place, as well as events from 2021 which were postponed due to COVID-19.
"We'll be back at 100 per cent capacity by December 1, but we feel mask-wearing inside might be around for a little while yet, at least until the end of the year," he said.
"In 2022, we won't be commencing shows until the end of January, and hopefully by then we'll be mask-free and ready to push ahead under a new normal."
"There's going to be more to see in 2022 than ever before. We're very excited to unveil next year's season, as so many musicians and production companies are keen to get back on the road."
Mr Champion also confirmed Inland Sea of Sound will return in February next year, with more details to come. BMEC's 2022 season will be announced soon. To stay up to date, visit www.bmec.com.au or BMEC's Facebook page.
