The event was held on Saturday, October 23, and was the first farmers' market since Bathurst emerged from lockdown.
Lions Club project manager for farmers' markets Paul Haysom said it was a great turn out.
"It was excellent, it was a very good crowd, many store holders completely sold out," Mr Haysom said.
"The feeling down there was really good, the crowd was extremely happy to be out, people were just sick and tired of being locked in for so long and they came out to prove it."
There was a large variety of stores selling everything from fruit and vegetables to alcohol.
Most of the store-holders came from Bathurst but some made the trip from Orange and Parkes.
Mr Haysom said he was worried about the vegetable stores having enough produce but it all worked out well.
"The rain we've had in Bathurst recently hasn't been good for veggie growing ... Next farmers' will be a lot better, we'll have a lot more vegetables," he said.
"Everybody else was there ... Fruit, veg, eggs, we had wines including Vale Creek, the new owners came along for their first market.
"We also had the Stone Pine gin people and the Bathurst gin people, for once we had a cider bloke as well ... They also had a beer bloke there as well."
The market was held in the old stable complex due to renovations in the pavilions but Mr Haysom said they are looking into making it a permanent location as store-holders preferred it.
With the side doors opened up it gave the whole area a "lovely cross-wind ventilation" which was great for health reasons given the current climate.
"It's not like when it was a stable, now it's really big and open with lots of powerpoints," Mr Haysom said.
The next Bathurst Lions Farmers' Market will be held on Saturday, November 27.
