Tinka Terror may have had her first trip to Dubbo on Friday night but she showed signs of a big future after taking out the Robert & Gina Marshall Appreciation Pace as the Showground held its first meeting in months.

Bathurst trainer-driver pair Nigel and Olivia Frisby have only had a handful of races with the mare which showed towards the back end of the race when things got close.
Tinka Terror lead for much of the race but lost the lead to Oh One Job on the back straight only to regain first position again heading around the final bend.
Frisby and Tinka Terror ($2.60) held off a fast-finishing Oh One Job ($5) along with Sport Mickilla ($14) to grab her first win under a new ownership group.
"I thought it was huge," trainer Nigel Frisby said.
"Huge run under the circumstances of what went wrong early.
"We are very, very happy with the mare a few of us have all put together.
"Well I didn't a few of my mates were all sort of interested in getting a horse and they were all very, very happy. They were over the moon."
Frisby admitted he did see some things to improve on but knows it will come with time spent getting familiar with the horse.
"Once that sort of happened I thought we were up against it now," he said.
"But she's a really strong sort of mare. We've only had her a short time but I knew she was a strong sort of mare.
"I thought she could battle back but I didn't know she could actually beat her [Oh One Job].
"Even halfway down the straight I thought she wasn't going to get her but in the last 20 metres she knuckled down."
Friday night's meeting also marked a return to racing at Dubbo Showground after being closed for several months due to COVID-19 but the facility remained busy with testing and vaccination facilities for the public.
Frisby knows the trip from Bathurst is a long one but he always enjoys coming to Dubbo.
"It was good," he said.
"We've always been big supporters of Dubbo. It is a long trip but I usually have at least two horses running at Dubbo because it's too far to go with one."
