Brock Larance and Ben Patterson will join Redbacks in the Twenty20 competition as marque players, and both allrounders shape as genuine match-winners.
Their resumes in the short format includes touring England as part of the Aboriginal XI in 2018.
Patterson made a once-off marque appearance in the competition for Redbacks in 2019, blasting an unbeaten 95 off 57 balls and opening the bowling, while Larance can be just as devastating with the bat and also provides an off-spin option.
"I don't think any side will have two better marques," Day said. "Unfortunately Broc is unavailable this weekend, but to have those two in our team is going to be a joy to watch."
Last season Redbacks' campaign in the Twenty20 competition came to end when play in the 12th over of qualifying final against Orange CYMS was declared unsafe due to the wet conditions.
With no result, CYMS advanced given they sat higher on the ladder. It was a situation which left Redbacks bitterly disappointed, but now it will serve as motivation.
"We certainly do have unfinished business, I definitely feel we got a little bit robbed last year, it was not the way we wanted to go out," Day said.
"I was out there batting at the time and got hit on the elbow which was the straw that broke the camel's back and saw the game called off.
"But it is what it is and I know I have got a bit of grit and determination to prove a point this year and see how we can go."
This season's Bonnor Cup format sees teams split into two pools - Bathurst City placed with Lithgow Lightning, ORC, defending champions Rugby Union, Centrals and Cavaliers.
Games will not only be played on Friday night under lights at Wade Park, but there will be Sunday rounds using Bathurst wickets.
"Obviously the tradition is Wade Park under lights and I think Jameel [Qureshi] said it a couple of weeks ago, that we can't lose that, but definitely getting to play a couple of games in Bathurst will be great, it will be a bit easier on Sunday for the boys to get there," Day said.
"I think it's a very good pool to be in, they are split fairly evenly the teams talent-wise, but we've got a pretty good draw. ORC in my opinion could be the smokey."
Redbacks begin their campaign this Sunday against Lithgow at George Park 1 from 2pm.
