Aqua park owners had hoped to reopen at the dam on Saturday, November 13 after missing the past two summers due to low water levels at the dam (2019-20) and COVID uncertainty (2020-21).
But three days of rain across the Bathurst catchment and rising water levels at the dam have forced the owners to rethink their plans.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
And a forecast top of just 12 degrees Celsius on Saturday was not likely to have attracted many to the park this weekend anyway.
The owners are now hoping to reopen next weekend.
The aqua park will initially be open only on weekends before gearing up to seven days a week from December 17.
