FLOODWATERS have made life difficult for Bathurst for the second day running with a number of roads still cut across the region, including the low-level bridge at Hereford Street.

The Macquarie River is now falling at Bathurst after peaking at 5.05 metres about 9.30pm on Friday. By 7pm on Saturday the river was at 3.5 metres.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast more showers for Bathurst on Sunday but the rain is expected to ease after that.

The most recent roads update from Bathurst Regional Council is:
- Freemantle Road at Freemantle Bridge is closed.
- Ophir Road at the causeway is closed.
- Eleven Mile Drive is closed at Saltram Creek.
- The Hereford Street low-level bridge is closed
- Turondale Road: Open.
- Gowan Road: Open.
- Charleton Road: Open.
- Box Ridge Road closed, midway (gravel section) due to large washout.
- The Bridle Track: Open.
- Lloyds Road: Open.
- Russell Street: Open.
- Lagoon Road: Open.
- Vale Road: Open.
Council will update roads conditions on their Facebook page as they change.
