As a direct result of the pandemic, there is serious congestion in global supply chains causing massive delays shipping goods into Australia.
And the word on the street is what's not already in the stores, won't make here before Christmas.
Owner of DeJorja and Co, Megan Fawkner said Covid-19 restrictions, border closures and freighter scarcity have all contributed to the congestion crunch.
Mrs Fawkner said thankfully she got the store's orders in nice and early, and her shop is brimming with gorgeous Christmas goodies, but said shoppers should get in early to avoid disappointment.
After a tough 18-months, Mrs Fawkner said she is hoping the community shop local and support small business.

"We're really lucky here, we have some beautiful little businesses in town, so we're hoping rather than shopping online and at the big retailers, people come out and shop locally and support the little companies, because it has been really tough for two years," she said.
She said DeJorja was lucky in that it got its orders in early, but she said deliveries this year have been slow.
"I've noticed it has been slower, when I've put an order in with a supplier, it can be two or three months later we receive it.
"A lot of stuff is stuck at the dock and stuck in customs.
"And that's across the board, I've heard of people wanting lounges and waiting eight months," she said.
"With only five weeks until Christmas I definitely recommend people start thinking about their shopping earlier.
"Luckily we've got a lot in the shop.
"Still, it will be a case of first in best dressed, so I wouldn't leave it until the last minute.
"I would say come in early so you don't miss out."
She said with just five weeks until Christmas, trade is already brisk, with people already starting to shop and tick off items on their Christmas lists.
At the top of Christmas lists this year are beautiful leather goods and other summer favourites.
"We've got clutches and handbags which have been really popular with customers," she said.
"The cocktail mixes are also fantastic, we're coming into summer and people are having little parties.
"So we've found they have been popular as well.
"Our clothes sales have also been amazing.... really things are just running out the door,' she said.
