INTRODUCTION: I am solo and believe that candidates use teams to get in easier as many voters will vote above the line. I am not too fond of the team idea as it feels like I would have 3 or 4 candidates working hard towards helping me rather than themselves. With the number of candidates in this election, only 2 or 3 candidates with number 2s have a good chance. In saying that, 2 of these I do hope to get in, and I am preferencing them as I want to see more intelligent and well-spoken young women on the council.

PRIORITIES:
Fill the empty shopfronts with a combination of new business rentals and programs to assist the microbusinesses that struggled during covid without markets to sell their wares.
Ensure that a medium and long term water strategy is achieved with careful research and economic planning
Reduce unnecessary expenditure
BIMC: As above, we need this to go ahead now. It is well overdue for our community, very much required, and in my opinion it is utter nonsense to debate the semantics of the hospital.
WATER SECURITY: Research, and a lot of it. Look into how the pipeline could in the future (10 years plus) be of benefit to our water supply. Raising the dam wall is a bandaid solution.
RIVER CROSSING: Yes I do and wherever it is deemed the most appropriate by our professional traffic management and engineering advisors.
AMBULANCE STATION: A balance of mostly private that can for public and community use. Heritage restoration costs are often threefold from what developers expect as they are not ready for the Building and Construction Code requirements, and all the other Australian Standards (some are legislated, some are guidelines). However, even guidelines heavily impact different acts, i.e. the NSW WHS act requires all of AS3745:2010 Planning for Emergencies in Facilities to be implemented, a non-legistlated standard.
GO-KART TRACK: Yes, if it is privately funded, or at least 80% private funding.
RATES CAP: No! This is why I would like Council to rein back spending. Our rates are higher than equivalent towns around us, and we need to spend less to stop hurting our ratepayers who are getting pretty peeved by rates now.
BUSINESS COMMUNITY: Shared goals and perhaps two reps from council being regular members, so no meeting is missed, and importantly there are different perspectives on the discussed items. Furthermore, a new MOU should be devised to outlay the expectations of both parties involved.
WOMAN'S VOICE: Well, I am a woman? I am also the VP and cultural officer at the CWA night branch. I also was the first NSW state leader of the Women in Emergency Management Australasia and held that title until last year, which was a fantastic experience helping women have a voice in male-dominated industries.
COUNCIL DIVISIONS: I encourage debate and respect every opinion provided to me, even if it is against my initial proposal. I am open-minded and listen. The only issue I have is with people who take things personally and attack you for your opinions and decisions. I have no time for nasty and childish behaviour and would call it out immediately to be resolved before it escalates.
FUNDING: I have zero funding or donations and will not take any if offered. I do not find political contributions fair, and I dislike candidates asking for money when it is all in their own self-interest to be elected.
